HyperCube - Spring based anti-vibration feet
thingiverse
This is a complete rebuild of http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:1392657 to fit the dimensions of the HyperCube. To significantly reduce the noise level of the HyperCube 3D printer, drastic measures were necessary. The spring holders are designed for large packs of springs purchased from eBay, labeled as 'Extruder Springs for Ultimaker/Makerbot.' The eBay page I bought them from listed the following measurements: Wire diameter is 1.2mm, inner diameter is 5mm, outer diameter is 7.5mm, and height is 20mm. For reference, see http://www.ebay.de/itm/272289220619. To create a working assembly, simply print 8x SpringBase and 4x SpringBaseAdapterPlateCircle or 4x SpringBaseAdapterPlateSquare, then glue the parts together as needed. If you require an adapter of different size or shape, please let me know.
