HyperCube Redesigned E3D Fan Duct

HyperCube Redesigned E3D Fan Duct

thingiverse

This collection features some redesigned fan ducts for the HyperCube 3D printer. Like many, I was struggling with printing the fan duct. I attempted using the fan duct from arturslab's modified parts for the Hypercube 3d printer that is slightly printed vertically & still had issues with printing the bridges at the top. These three versions make it easier to print and more sturdy (the original is completely hollow). I have not tested these yet, as I am currently in the early stages of building my HyperCube & printing off parts on my existing printer. Print these with a brim or adhesion might be an issue. The first version introduces a bit of reinforcement in the middle of the duct, making it much more sturdy but still had some issues with the top of the print. All subsequent versions include this reinforcement. The second version makes the top angle about 1mm thicker. The duct is still ultimately the same length, printing much better but the tip is still thin & a little droopy/bumpy. The third version is a full redesign of the top with a 45 degree angle. This version printed beautifully, but since the angle is steeper, the tip is thinner and may reduce airflow. I want to extend huge thanks to Tech2C for designing this amazing printer.
