Completely printable frame for Hypercube. As long as you have a height of 177 mm. Based on tech2c's recommended measurements. *Designed to print with my lasercut i3 and E3D X179 Y190 Z180.* Print with a brim that is five lines or more in length. - Print Settings -Use concentric infill unless printing solid. If solid, use any pattern. -0.3mm layer height or less. 0.3 mm was used in the pictures. -55 mm/sec speed or less. You may experience problems at higher speeds. Your printer's settings may vary. -Best way to attach together so far with PLA Sand your Z seam from the square pin so you have a nice fit. Make sure it is flush before gluing. No gaps are allowed. Use CA or epoxy very lightly. Press firmly together. Fuse or melt using a heat gun at 350 degrees Fahrenheit. I use a fine tip to only melt a small amount. Place the part on a flat surface like your build plate. Heat one side at a time and rotate the bar while pushing together. Make sure not to push too hard and cause a bulge. Use the flat surface to keep them straight. (I found that using this method the print fails from layer breaking rather than the joint.) If using ABS, use acetone to melt them together. Or do the same as above. Add two to four extenders. Drill necessary holes and bolt. If using cap head bolts, they will sit flush with the outer frame when fully screwed in. What didn't work well is that I tried straight CA and straight epoxy but found both joints failed by the center pin breaking and the glue joint failing. You may have to sand the male part to fit depending on your printer's tolerances. I had two prints that were perfect and one that needed sanding. My first print of all four X at once took 12 hours, 49 minutes with a speed of 60 mm/sec using PLA on (4_x_340mm_X.stl). I'm not sure what is faster: printing them all at once or together. - Check out these links for M3 T-Slot nut holders: http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:10261 and http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:13599 Frame Size: T-Slot 2020 Aluminum Extrusion Profiles for X200 x Y200 x Z155 print bed area.
