Note: I didn't end up using this bearing after all, instead opting for a regular flanged ball bearing that's the same size as the hole in my stepper motor mount bracket - convenient! 8/11/17 Upper Bearing Holder for 10mm Lead Screw and Lead Screw Nut Holder. Work in progress, but I'm fairly confident these will work once I print the rest and test them out. I needed to make the upper bearing holder wider so that the screw nut holder could fit snugly inside, allowing my Z axis to raise higher. Getting hold of 10mm lead screws that aren't bent from China is a major challenge - hence my search for US suppliers. The other issue I'm facing is that bearings are 10mm and rods are also 10mm, but they don't fit together smoothly. Some of the screws I received measure 9.95mm, which do fit the bearing, while others come in at 10.1mm and won't work - it's a bit of a gamble. 8/17/17 The folks over at the HEVO Facebook group have kindly created an anti-backlash nut holder for a nut I picked up from AliExpress to use with my 10mm lead screw. What a lifesaver! 8/20 I've added a remix of someone else's Z axis flag and optical sensor holder design to my project - looking good so far!
