This prototype still has its flaws! I've included the STEP files so you can make your own modifications. Don't blindly copy my Duet Wifi 2 settings, as they're tailored to my specific needs. Consistent extrusion from my HyperCube Evolution was always a challenge, so I converted it into a direct drive machine after several revisions. The end result is this design. The original HEVO is quite compact, which meant that parts of the prototype print head would collide with the Z rod and Z bearing holders. If you're starting from scratch, consider adding 10-15mm to your X and Y extrusion/linear rods to accommodate large print heads. I had to modify several components to maintain my 300x300x400 print volume without having to buy new extrusions. The new print head uses a Bondtech BMG extruder connected to a standard E3D hotend. You'll also need a short 20mm pancake extruder motor and a radial fan for this design to work. I've added files for 10 and 18mm inductive probes, as well as a part for the parts fan that's held together with melted filament since I ran out of screws. X_Carriage_BackBlTouchMount replaces the original back plate so the probe can mount behind the print head. This is the only spot where it would fit without interfering with the fan shroud or stepper motors. Bed_Bracket flips the bed bracket to be "underslug" and accepts a nut for the bed screw, maintaining the 400mm Z height. If you have long springs, you can use the SpringCompressor, which adds about 10mm of height back. Z_Motor_Mount_Adjustable allows the Z motor to move in and out slightly. I found that my Z motors were off by a few mm, causing the lead screw to bind at the lowest point. Flipping my mounts allowed me to keep maximum Z height and also cooled the Z motors externally. Z_Nut_Bracket_Flipped moves the Z nut flange to the opposite side for maximum Z travel. HEVO_LED_HOLDER adds some LED lights - The Bottom part extends the holder for the Z axis extrusion. I highly recommend using the excellent Core XY mechanics from StvPtrsn.
