I just rebuilt one of my HEVO's, tightened the belts, but wasn't sure if they were even. After asking about belt tension testing on the HEVO FB group, I was directed here to search. Nothing really popped up that was specific to HEVO or tested both belts simultaneously. So I came up with a little contraption - basically a balance beam scale sideways. It works by pulling on both belts at the same time and if one is tighter, you'll see they don't align. The test location should be between the left and right rear pulleys, then use the batman hook on the X-gantry. See the pictures. Items needed: 2 x M3 screws and nuts 1 x light extension spring And of course, a HEVO! Adjust the belts until they overlap each other, and the tension should be the same.
