HyperCube E3D Titan Mount with BLTouch and Radial Fan
thingiverse
I designed a direct drive extruder and BLTouch to fit the HyperCube, and this is what I came up with. The mount was made as compact as possible. It works well with the latest motor from E3D or a pancake stepper like this one (http://uk.stepperonline.com/09-nema-17-bipolar-stepper-12a-11ncm156ozin-17hm081204s-p-99.html), keeping the extruder compact to avoid interfering with drive belts or the X motor mount. I couldn't use the fan mount as designed because it fit in front of the Titan extruder and the XY joiner couldn't reach the Y limit switch, so I placed the fan above the stepper. The fan attaches to the extruder mount with an M3 screw which screws into a knurl nut that's heat set into the mount. I got these nuts from http://www.banggood.com/100pcs-M34mm-H62-Brass-Knurl-Nuts-DIY-Accessories-p-971077.html?rmmds=search I updated the fan mount to make it stronger since it was only held on by one screw. Update: After working with a radial blower fan, I found that it's unwieldy, so I've opted for this cooling fan from Jinx (http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:1693413). Pictures will be added soon.
