I built my HyperCube, a massive 300x300x300 3D printer with dual Z axis and 10mm Y axis rods, based on Tech2C's original design but scaled up to meet my needs. To achieve this, I had to create some custom parts that deviated from the original 8mm dimensions. Some of these were simple remixes of existing parts, resized to fit the new 10mm scale. I also drew inspiration from henryarnold's brilliant 2020 LED Lighting Mount and adapted it to lift the fixtures above the extrusion, allowing me to install lights on all four sides. This added a touch of elegance to my printer's design. The cable tower is an ingenious solution that keeps the cable bundle securely attached to the extruder, providing strain relief and ensuring smooth operation. The bed brackets were designed to facilitate easy movement of the build platform around the extruder, guaranteeing accurate 0,0 positioning from the start. However, with the upgrade to 10mm Y rods came a new challenge: the existing Y endstop wouldn't work anymore. A simple larger version of the 8mm clamp was out of the question, as it would push too far into the motor bracket and lose its grip. So, I created a custom part that mounts the endstop directly to the extrusion, positioning it perfectly to strike the face of the XY Joiner. For added convenience, I also designed the Hotend Wiring Loom Support Bracket, which can be found on Thingiverse under ID 2426833.
