HyperCube Belt Tensioner

HyperCube Belt Tensioner

This is an enhancement to the Hypercube design from @Tech2C. It adds to the existing belt clamp and allows for tensioning each belt separately. The block height is 10mm. The additional space requires M3x10 clamping screws to be replaced with M3x20. For belt tensioning, you'll need two more M3x20 screws and four hex nuts: two for securing the screws in the block and two for preventing loosening. The smaller notch should face the x-carriage to allow belt movement while tensioning. Make sure screws turn smoothly in caps without thread gripping. **Printing:** Print caps upright, like a half-standing soda can, to increase stress resistance during tightening. A little sanding and deburring may be necessary for smooth operation. **Parts needed:** 1x Tension Block 2x Tension Caps 5x M3x20 screws 3x M3 Hex Nuts **Mounting:** Add the block to the x-carriage and the original clamp on top of the block. Start with one screw in the middle, twist the block and clamp 90°, and pull the belts through the notch at the carriage. Turn the block back, wrap the belt, and then turn the clamp. Add the two remaining screws, pull the belts, and tighten the screws until the belts are secure. After that, you can adjust the tensioning screws to reach your desired tension. Happy Tuning! **Update:** Thanks for your feedback! I improved the design in Version 1.1. The cap guiding blocks are now longer for increased adjustment travel without losing stability. Also, the screwholes in the caps are deeper.
