Hypercube Beefy Z Carrage

I'm meticulously overhauling and upgrading some components of my hypercube printer, bringing it up to par with modern standards. Initially, I employed Snoop3's ingenious design for the Z carriage, which I found to be the most suitable option for my build due to its sleek integration with the 2020 extrusion system. What really drew me to this design was its ability to snugly hug the extrusion and provide a rock-solid lock that prevents any movement or wobble. However, after some time of use, I noticed that the bearings had begun to loosen up, causing the bed to subtly wobble and resulting in distortions during the print process. In response to this issue, I designed an upgrade that securely bolts the bearings into place, eliminating any potential for movement or slippage. To further enhance stability and strength, I also increased the distance between the bearings, making them more evenly distributed and better able to withstand the stresses of heavy use. This upgraded design is specifically tailored for 12mm bearings, providing a precise fit that ensures optimal performance. As you can see in the accompanying image, this is my first prototype, which required some minor tweaks before it reached its current state. The rendered picture shows the refined version I'm now using, which has proven to be a game-changer in terms of print quality and overall printer stability.
