Hypercube 300 Lite X Carriage
thingiverse
The HyperCube 300 Lite X Carriage is a completely new X axis carriage and E3D V6 or Volcano Extruder mount designed specifically for the Original Hypercube CoreXY or Hypercube 300 CoreXY 3D printers. As its name suggests, it is 50% lighter than standard components, allowing users to implement more aggressive acceleration and jerk settings for faster prints while maintaining print quality. The Lite X Carriage also centralizes mass around the X rods, providing better balance and reducing twisting in these rods that can cause nozzle scraping during rapid Y axis movements. Two fan duct options are included - one each for V6 and Volcano heater blocks. Important Printing Orientation: Due to an issue with Thingiverse STL orientations, some modifications are necessary: 1. The carriages should be printed on their sides, ensuring the part holding the hot end touches the bed. Only one orientation will work without support, and it prints perfectly. 2. Print the sensor mount with the bracket flat on the bed and the loop for the sensor pointing upwards to enhance its strength and durability. 3. Fan ducts print well on their backs with the fork-like part facing up. Ensure a minimum of three top and bottom layers for adequate sealing; bridging may be imperfect, but it's crucial for proper function. Note that this fan duct will produce significant airflow towards the hot end, requiring reduced fan speed (around 70-80%) to prevent overheating and Marlin safety shutdown. 4. Other parts should be printed as shown in their original orientations.
