The Hyperbolic Pencil Holder / Cable Organizer The hyperbola is an astonishingly simple yet profoundly rich mathematical object that can be easily demonstrated to school students using a few pencils or a cuboid (see my other designs). The fundamental concept is so straightforward to illustrate, making it perfect for educational purposes. In this design, I aimed to emphasize the **symmetry** and **playfulness** of a hyperbola in a pencil holder, which can also be used as a cable organizer, purely for the sake of creativity. It holds 10 school pencils (up to 8.5mm in diameter). The hyperbola is designed to allow pencils to move freely so students can engage with it. A stand can be used to keep the pencils from falling out if desired. You could even glue it to the hyperbola using a drop of super glue. Alternatively, you could simply print one with a solid bottom. It measures approximately 76 mm tall and 74 mm wide at the top and the bottom. **You can stop printing anywhere during the process for a partial yet functional pencil holder, if preferred**.
