Hyperbolischer Trichter Gravitrax

This is a hyperbolic funnel for the marble run Gravitrax. The funnel is designed like a “coin Funnel”, which could be found in zoo's or other public areas. The balls run slowly in the outer area, the further the balls come to the inside, the speed increases. There is an additional closing plug. Depending on the speed, the balls tend to roll off the funnel through an entrance on the other side. The unused entrances can be closed with this plugs. (If necessary, you can mirror the plug in the slicer) The Funnel has a extra ring with a cut-out, so the ball don't stop when it goes through the runout. The funnel needs support for printing. To optimize the printing time I designed an extra part as support. It is designed with no gap, so in the slicer it have to be moved in Z direction about -0.2 to -0.4mm. For the support part I choose the option “Print as Support” (see picture) The funnel (with the support part) is printed upright. The closing plug and the ring is printed upside down. To increase the quality of the funnel and to save printing time, the Option “Variable Layer Height” is activated.
