Hyperbolic Paraboloid
thingiverse
This is a thickened hyperbolic paraboloid, defined by z = x^2 - y^2, where -1.5 < x < 1.5 and -1.5 < y < 1.5. The freestanding version cuts the surface slightly in the z direction. The model was created as part of the Manipulative Calculus project at Harvard University.
