Hylian Shield (From Legend of Zelda - Breath of the Wild)

<p>This is a model of the <em>Hylian Shield</em> from <em>The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild</em> made specifically for multi-extruder printers.</p> <p><strong>Please be aware that the colourized version of this model was not designed to be printed in pieces on a single-extruder machine and assembled afterwards.</strong> Use <em>hylian_shield-onepiece.stl</em> to get everything at once in a single colour.</p> <h3>Print instructions</h3><p>The print in the cover photo was done on a quad extruder Prusa i3 MK2 MMU as follows:</p> <ul> <li><strong>hylian_shield-body.stl</strong> <em>silver PLA (extruder 1)</em></li> <li><strong>hylian_shield-plate.stl</strong> <em>navy PLA (extruder 2)</em></li> <li><strong>hylian_shield-zigzags.stl</strong> <em>silver PLA (extruder 1)</em></li> <li><strong>hylian_shield-triforce.stl</strong> <em>gold PLA (extruder 3)</em></li> <li><strong>hylian_shield-triforce_center.stl</strong> <em>navy PLA (extruder 2)</em></li> <li><strong>hylian_shield-phoenix_flat.stl</strong> <em>red PLA (extruder 4)</em></li> </ul> <p>In addition to the .stl files used in my print, I have included the following:</p> <ul> <li><p><strong>hylian_shield-phoenix_raised.stl</strong>: This can be used in place of the <em>flat.stl</em> version if you prefer the phoenix to be raised off of the shield plate rather than level with it.</p> </li> <li><p><strong>hylian_shield-onepiece.stl</strong>: This can be used to print everything at once in a single colour/material. Note that this uses the raised version of the phoenix, as it would otherwise blend right into the shield plate.</p> </li> </ul> <p>Note that I only needed <strong>hylian_shield-triforce_center.stl</strong> because the version of Slic3r PE that I used when this was designed refused to play nicely with the central triangle in <em>plate.stl</em>. PrusaSlicer (and newer versions of Slic3r PE) may not require it.</p> <p>When printed at 100% size, the shield measures approximately 124mm x 100mm.</p> <p>Happy printing!</p>
