Hydrostatic Valve Tool (Hayward SP1056)
thingiverse
If you have a swimming pool, you may be faced with replacing the Hydrostatic Valve at some point. The Common replacement option is a Hayward SP1056 plastic valve. Tools for this operation which are available on line run up to $100. This was my cheaper option. I didn't have to actually test this in removing my valve. So, I cannot give any assurance it will work without breaking on an old valve that is really tight. For putting the new one on--remember you are working with plastic fittings--my view is they should be only hand-tight with the torque you can put on with this tool by hand. The holes are to add torque for removing the old valve you may be faced with. Printing: It's a simple tube. I used: 20% in-fill. I use brims on all my prints. Probably should invert so you print from top up/down, and avoid a lot of support structure for the holes otherwise at the top.
