Hydroponic HackPot
thingiverse
I envision a hydroponic pot designed for flexibility and growth. My objective was to create a modular pot equipped with an LED lamp that can be controlled electronically and alert users to low water levels. This pot is versatile, accommodating two primary uses: 1. For the germination process, I recommend using up to 2x pots.stl to support a maximum of 8 seeds. 2. For the growing process, use up to 2x growing-pots.stl, which can hold a maximum of 2 plants (this feature is currently under development). Here's a step-by-step guide on how to assemble and use this hydroponic pot: 1. First, print the lamp v7 with 50% infill. 2. Next, print the case v20 with 50% infill. 3. Print 2x pots.stl for optimal results. 4. Join the lamp v7 and case v20 using two aluminum pipes, each 12mm in diameter. 5. To illuminate the pot, I used four LED strips, each measuring 6 cm in length. 6. Inside the pot, I applied an epoxy resin coating for protection.
