Hydroknecht

Hydroknecht is a smart modular 3D-printed Hydroponic system. Based on a rain-tower design it can be built to fit multiple modules with multiple planters. One planter can fit plants with a base diameter of 6 cm. The tower is controlled by multiple sensors connected to an ESP8266 wich is connected via MQTT to a Node-RED enviroment. This enables control over pumps and lights, aswell as the reception of data from multiple analog and digital sensors. Feel free to modify feel free to modify it that it fit your preferences. More information can be found on our GitHub repo. The model is designed to fit on the Prusa Mini.

Print settings

All models are printed in 0.25mm layer heigth except the smaller models like the water spreader. We used 10% Infill. All models are optimized for support free printing. We printed all models in PLA or PETG. The Reservoir is the hardest model to print because it needs to be watertight. We printed it with a lot of perimeters. Heres a helpfull Blog Post from Prusa: https://blog.prusaprinters.org/watertight-3d-printing-pt1-vases-cups-and-other-open-models_48949/

M3 nuts have to be inserted into the reservoir. Heres a link which shows you how to set it up in Prusa Slicer: https://help.prusa3d.com/en/article/insert-pause-or-custom-g-code-at-layer_120490

You should also insert insert nuts into the top part 2, to hold the PCB in place. If you want to place a lightsensor inside the top, you might also want to insert an acrylic glass in there.
