The primary aim is to build a prototype model of a hybrid truck utilizing power from the hydrogen fuel cell as the primary source for the electric drive and Lithium-ion batteries as the auxiliary power source. The main advantage of this system is the elevated range when compared to only Lithium-ion powered electric drives as Hydrogen has a much higher power density. The ultimate goal of the hybrid system is to provide a maximum range comparable to petroleum-driven IC engine drives. More details are in the report folder.
