Hydrogen Engine v2
thingiverse
This is a mostly functional version. Use the videos to see how to build. I made many variations to get to this model version. This engine uses hydrogen and should work, but it's quite complex. Watch the vids for details. Firstly, the cam belt will need to be Tpu or other flexible material. The Cylinders will need to be sleeved with a metal ring, as well as the tops of the pistons and head. You'll also need an electrolysis hydrogen generator. The sump needs to be filled with cooking oil, and there should be foam with oil on it in the air filter. This block can only run for a short time because there's no water cooling. That will come soon. The valves need springs underneath them. It requires RC plane spark plugs, which you can drill holes into the head to fit. You'll also need metal on the flywheel, and that needs to be perfectly centered using a lathe. You'll need 8mm bars for the crank. This project requires M3 bolts of varying size, heat them up before screwing them in so they thread into the holes. I've added a water-cooled block now, but still keep an eye on the temperature and don't use supports on this print. It has a hole for a 5mm arduino temperature sensor. I re-uploaded the inlet because it was broken on the first upload. I updated the cam gears because they were at the wrong ratio. I've added a distributor and rotor arm, which you'll need to wire up. Ask for advice if needed.
