Hydrogen Aeroponic Farm

An aeroponic farm powered by green hydrogen This project is created by two high-schoolers: Matthew Veloso & Dae Jung CruzIt is estimated that in 2050, the human population can increase to 9.7 billion. This creates more demand for food, water, land, and other necessities. Traditional methods of agriculture may prove inefficient in providing enough food in a sustainable, “green” matter as the use of pesticides, large water consumption, and deforestation for farming can lead to devastating effects in the environment. Furthermore, climate change is making extreme weather such as droughts more commonplace which makes it more difficult to grow food.However, thanks to the recent innovations of vertical farming and soilless farming techniques, food can be grown efficiently in a controlled environment with less energy and water consumption. Also, Green Hydrogen (Hydrogen produced from renewable sources) can be used to power these farms.
