Hydro Halo

Hydro Halo

thingiverse

This is a compact hydro halo for entry-level pots. The outer diameter measures 120mm and the ring thickness stands at 20mm. Five customizable parameters are available, which can be adjusted as follows: outsideDiameter = 120; // largest diameter of the model ringThickness = 20; // width of drip ring at its flat base // To create a hooked loop, set inletPosition to 130 and Opened to 0 inletPosition = 130; // rotational position of barb connector (0 = -Y) startingDegreeFromY = -18; // initial angle of removed material degreesOfRemoval = 36; // number of degrees of material to be removed To modify this design, you'll need to download and install OpenSCAD. Then, simply adjust a few values, press F6 to render, and Export STL once complete. You can easily scale up or down as needed. The barb fitting is designed to fit 1/2" poly tubing, although I've left that value fixed - you're free to locate the module and adjust it if desired. I encountered difficulty printing this model with Simplify3D support materials, so I created a custom support for the barb fitting. However, I suspect this might not turn out well, which is why I also rendered unsupported models of each design. If your slicer generates support structures, be cautious that they don't attempt to support the orifices, as this can impede water flow. Enjoy!
