This part replaces the parking brake cam gear found on several zero-turn lawn mowers, models included. It serves as a direct substitute for part number 70392, which covers the right-hand side of the mower. However, our product can be used to replace either the left or right side gear simply by flipping it over. A critical safety feature is built into these lawnmowers, shutting off the engine when moving out of neutral while engaging the parking brake. If this safety switch fails or is overridden, the teeth on the cam gear may become damaged, as seen in attached photos. But with the safety switch functioning properly, this plastic replacement part will adequately substitute for the original cast metal component.
