Hydro Garden Water Spout Cap
thingiverse
We've got a Hydro Garden that my wife uses every year to grow veggies. The original kit came with a 4-foot-and-a-half-inch piece of PVC pipe that went from the pump up to the top of the five-tiered system. It was capped off at the top with a standard half-inch PVC cap. Water flowed out through tiny holes drilled into the top of that four-foot piece, creating a trickle effect as it made its way down through each tier. But using this setup was a real challenge - the water would often spray out too far or push the perlite rocks right off the tier. To make matters worse, the PVC pipe had to be replaced every year due to sun damage, which meant that those tiny holes never lined up quite right. So I came up with a new cap design to replace the standard PVC cap and put an end to all that hassle.
