The hydraulic descaler for the secondary scale removal is set before the finishing mill group. Unlike conventional designs in the descaler there is made a provision for the mechanized whetting out of the headers which allows to take care of sprays and change the headers as complete units in the process of mill operation. The descalers provide: Slab and semi finished rolled stock descaling of primary and secondary scale of breakdown top and bottom surfaces. Automatic keeping of distance between semi finished rolled stock and top collector. Automatic supply of high-pressure water to the collector. Constant angle of burners inclination towards the cleaned surface. Collectors and burners damage protection. Guaranteed covering of water flow spray on the surface.
