A hydraulic cylinder, also known as a hydro-mechanical cylinder, is a mechanical actuator designed to provide push or pull forces using fluid power. It consists of a cylindrical barrel, piston, and a rod, with hydraulic fluid filling the space between them. When pressure is applied to one side of the piston, it moves in the direction of the lower pressure, exerting a force on the attached object through the output end of the rod.
