This is a dust and dirt protector cap designed specifically for hydration bladders. The cap boasts an internal diameter of 19mm, making it a perfect fit for the Mountain Warehouse Wide Opening Hydration Pack 2L. However, its versatility allows it to be scaled up or down as needed. To attach this cap securely, a cable zip tie is provided, measuring 6 inches by 3.6 mm in thickness and 150 mm in length. If you choose to scale down the design, keep in mind that you may need to use a smaller tie or carefully file out the hole slightly. For those interested in printing a longer version of this cap, be aware that it prints more smoothly due to its orientation and requires less flexing. On the downside, when removed from the valve, it leaves behind a 100 mm piece of plastic that can become loose. To achieve the best results, we recommend using PETG or PLA Flex filament, as they offer excellent flexibility. Depending on your bed adhesion, you may need to add a brim during printing. During development, I attempted to merge my design with existing cable tie projects. Unfortunately, this resulted in either a 90-degree misalignment when printed flat or the need for supports. Instead, I opted to utilize readily available cable ties that I had on hand.
