HydraPak Male Quick Disconnect
thingiverse
I've broken my second HydraPak Quick Disconnect. This time, I'm armed with a 3D Printer. The original design is poorly conceived and under-materielized, featuring a fragile connection between the tip and body that fits so snugly it eventually succumbs to stress, breaking off the ring. My new version boasts a more substantial design and slightly relaxed diameter, making it both sturdier and easier to insert and remove. To assemble this design, you'll need a 10 mm O-ring - I simply reused the one provided with my original HydraPak Quick Disconnect. However, I still highly recommend applying food-safe silicone grease to the O-ring. Under no circumstances should you use petroleum-based products, as they will embrittle plastics and cause them to become brittle. For more information on the HydraPak Quick Disconnect, visit their website at https://hydrapak.com or check out their accessories shop at https://hydrapak.com/shop/accessories/quick-disconnect. UPDATE: I've since tweaked my design with version 2, which addresses leakage issues present in the original v1.
