The idea is still in development stage, as there's not enough time for a thorough examination. The hypothesis states that rotational motion within the turbine generates a vortex, which channels water towards the spiral intake. In this spiral structure, the flow rate increases due to centrifugal force and decreased cross-section area. This concept seems to be an intermediate solution between Francis and Pelton turbines.
