Hybrid 98 cryocooler water cooling jacket
thingiverse
I didn't want to risk permanently damaging my $2000 cryocooler's heatsink by water cooling it like most people do, so I came up with this simple design that keeps the heatsink intact while directing the water across it effectively. Given that water will be flowing through it, I recommend using ABS, but since all I have is PLA, I'm making do with it. To prevent plastic degradation and leaks, I'll seal each half of the design with wax or some kind of resin. Silicone seals are used to secure the edges and attach it to the cooler securely. Each half is identical in design, except for opposite ends which serve as input and output points. Additionally, there's an extra hole on top for power wires and one at the bottom for thermocouple wires. The holes designed for water flow are equipped with 8mm metal inserts that allow tube attachment securely.
