HW1 asteroid

Asteroid (8567) 1996 HW1, designated as HW1 for convenience, was spotted on April 23, 1996, by T. Gehrels while conducting a survey at Steward Observatory as part of the Spacewatch project. As an Amor-class near-Earth asteroid, HW1 orbits within a semimajor axis of approximately 2.046 astronomical units and reaches its closest point to the sun at a perihelion distance of about 1.128 astronomical units.
