Huxley Fold / Fold-a-Hux
thingiverse
Modify your ReprapPro Huxley folding version with these hardware requirements: 2x285mm long 6mm smooth rods, 2x285mm long M6 threaded rod, and 2x195mm long M5 threaded rod. Also, require 2x40mm long M6 bolt/screw + nut + washers, 1x50mm long M6 bolt, and stock RepRapPro parts. Note that re-wiring is challenging due to hidden soldered joints and heat shrink. The Sanguinololu mount needs a 140x140 bed printed at 45 degrees. Use the thingiverse model number 13869 for improved igus bushings retention. Mount the Z axis switch on the X axis motor mount's bottom lug using a 50mm M6 bolt for Z axis home adjustment. Position the extruder head before folding at 100mm Z, 90mm X, and 0mm Y. Remember to place the vertical upright threaded rod facing you at the front of the Huxley. Be cautious about placing the Y axis limit switch by the Y motor as a standard Huxley setup. Finally, acknowledge Zapp Automation, RepprapPro, Greg Colbourn, reprapper, Think3DPrint3D, and Alibre for their contributions to your project.
