Huxley Fold Fan Shroud
thingiverse
Revise the RepRapPro extruder duct with a 0.6 mm wall thickness uniformly. Ensure that the shroud STL is rotated flat, aligning screw holes against the bed. The v18 shroud and two new clips v2 are available for printing with 2 perimeters, 30% infill, and 3 layers on top and bottom. A v19 version of the v18 shroud has been added to address glass plate clip obstruction while maintaining fan shroud integrity. The duct attaches to the fan using existing bottom screws, sliding from the extruder's base; clips are included for securing the top if necessary. Bottom fan screw bosses should be filed level with normal screw head depth if not already done. Print settings include a layer thickness of 0.2 mm, no support, no infill, and one perimeter (though a 0.4 mm nozzle is recommended). A design similar to Watsdesign was created concurrently but specifically for the RepRapPro extruder; an update involving version 16 lowered the duct by 1 mm and narrowed the exit for better cooling, although potential effects on airflow and extruder carrier should be monitored.
