The Husqvarna mowers' plastic enclosures are secured using self-tapping screws. After several years of regular upkeep, the threads begin to deteriorate, causing the screws to lose their grip. To repair these damaged threads, I designed and printed replacement plugs. These custom plugs have a 6 mm outer diameter, featuring an internal thread that matches the Husqvarna's self-tapping screws. To install them, I use a 6 mm drill bit to remove the damaged thread in the housing, then secure the plug in place with super glue. It's crucial to insert and remove a screw from the plug once before gluing it firmly into position.
