Hunting GoPro tree mount
thingiverse
This was designed to screw to a tree so you can self record your hunt. It prints in a 2 piece design. You will need M5x20 screws and nuts. It will also help to have the gopro screw to mount the camera, but you can use the M5 screw if you don't have one (you'll just need an allen wrench in the field). I print this in PETG so that it's strong, yet a little flexible. The thin arms will bend a little toward the tree as you put screws in it. *Update* I added a "strap" option so you don't have to screw the mount to the tree if you don't want to. It was designed for a 1" cargo type strap or lashing, not a ratchet strap. You can also hang your 3D printed gear hooks from the same strap as well. This will be a completely toolless option in the field as you won't need screws or a screwdriver. The swivel requires you to insert a pause (or filament change because my printer acts up with a pause at height command) on the layer before it closes up the M5 nut hole. Once paused, you must press in an M5 nut. These go in HARD, but are extremely secure once pressed in. Make sure its all the way seated so your nozzle doesn't run into it. If you can't press it in, maybe increase print size by a percent or two. Once done, screw the swivel to the mount with an M5x20 bolt and take it to the woods!
