I plan to print this out at extremely high resolution and discovered that the original mesh had some rough edges, particularly around the teeth and eye sockets (original vs new mesh shown in thumbnails).\n\nTo refine the model, I increased the subdivision level from approximately 260,000 polygons to 3,000,000 polygons, added sculpted details back into it, smoothed out as much as possible without losing my vision, flattened it, centered it, scaled it up to 10cm in height, and then reduced it from 388mb to around 30mb, which took no time at all.\n\nAfter reading some comments from people who have printed these models before, I decided to do a couple of test prints and added supports where necessary. The chin tends to get stuck, so I included supports under the back of the skull and most importantly, the cheeks which really needed them.\n\nThis should print fairly well with an SLA printer, as it has a lot of detail in it. Thanks for the original Syfy model.
