Hunter Skull HD (with supports)
thingiverse
I'm going to print this out in very high resolution and found the original mesh had some jagged areas, particularly around the teeth and eye sockets (original vs new mesh shown in thumbnails...). I increased the subdivision on it from about 260,000 polygons to 3,000,000 polygons, sculpted details back in, smoothed as much as I could without losing my sight, flattened it, centered it, scaled it to 10cm height, then reduced it from 388mb to around 30mb, which sliced through quickly. After reading some comments from people who have printed these before and seeing they can be done without supports, I did a couple of test prints and added supports where necessary - the chin will stay stuck, there are supports under the back of the skull and most importantly the cheeks which really needed it. This should look fairly good when printed with an SLA printer, I would imagine there's a lot of detail in it.
