Hunter Seeker from David Lynch’s “Dune”
thingiverse
This is a detailed replica of the iconic Hunter Seeker from David Lynch's 1984 film adaptation of "Dune". To bring this model to life, I used Tinkercad for modeling and my Anycubic Photon 3D printer for production. A crucial note for anyone looking to print their own version: be prepared to enlarge the small holes on the collars that house the thin pillars running up the sides of the main body. These holes are slightly too tight, requiring some adjustments to ensure a smooth printing process. The model still needs a few finishing touches before it's ready for display. I need to add paint details to the thread at the top of the main body and apply some weathering effects to give it an authentic look. Despite this, I'm thrilled with how the model has turned out so far. For those interested in creating the iconic needle, I've included a separate model that uses 1.5mm copper tube. Feel free to print it and incorporate it into your Hunter Seeker replica. To showcase my prop, I designed a small stand that can be used for display purposes.
