Hunter Douglas Mini-blind Valance Bracket
pinshape
I've had old mini-blinds in my house since 2006, with brackets that have become brittle over time. I considered buying new ones online for $2 each, but decided instead to try and print them myself. After scaling a design up to 67mm tall, the printed bracket works well. Print Settings: Printer: Monoprice Architect Rafts: Yes Supports: No Resolution: 0.2mm Infill: 15% Design Process: I scanned an actual bracket on my flatbed scanner and then traced it in Sketchup. I imported the design into Blender, where I made some tweaks before exporting it as a .stl file. To give the printed part extra strength, I reinforced the area that tends to break in the original brackets, resulting in a solid solution.
