The Mockingjay emblem from the Hunger Games movies needed some modeling love since no one bothered to create a volumetric, non-plain version for me. So I stepped up and decided to tackle it myself using ZBrush, getting the hang of things as I went along, despite it being my first try at modeling with that software. This model got a bit of polish on Blender too but, yeah, it's not perfect, far from it - after all, this was just my first attempt and still needs some serious refining to make it stand out. Fortunately, printing it is a different story altogether; a high-quality print that turned out really well thanks to ColorFabb's copperfill filament. The finish in these pics comes courtesy of Dremel polishing and an added layer of black shoe polish for that glossy effect. Printer Details: - Printer Model: Prusa i3 Print Settings: - Rafts: Off - Supports: Turned off - Resolution: High at 0.1 layers - Infill percentage: Set to 20% Note from the maker: Okay, not going to lie, this model is not perfect geometry wise... Sorry about that folks. My favorite slicer Slic3r got a little stressed when I threw it this way and ended up with nothing but errors every single time. Ended up resorting to Cura which worked like magic! So don't even bother trying to use this version. Help's arrived - a newer, corrected model was just uploaded courtesy of netfabb - all slicer-ready from now on
