I wanted to create a sign for my company's bathroom and found the "Toilettes" model by Tapion. It caught my attention with its humor, so I decided to print it out. However, once detached from the printing bed, those unconnected objects needed to be reassembled at the correct distance/position. To resolve this issue, I decided to remix the object. This new object was born, and it's easy to print, remove from the bed, and attach to the toilet doors. If you use this model, please post a picture! Alternatively, if you don't have a 3D printer or want a better quality object, you can order it from Shapeways at http://shpws.me/MLUY. Print Settings: Printer: New Matter MOD-t Rafts: No Supports: No Resolution: 0.2mm layer Infill: 20% Notes: You can swap the filament color for best results, especially if you choose a black base and blue/pink top part. The models fit (one at a time) on the MOD-t printing bed in horizontal orientation; rotate them by 90 degrees to print. For better results, sand the top of the model with progressively smaller sandpaper (280 - 400 - 600, and 1000 grit). Then apply a bicomponent resin for a smoother surface. I'll post a picture when done. How I Designed This: I remixed the original model by creating it from scratch. Editing STL files isn't enjoyable, so I decided to redesign everything. I found the figures on a search engine and downloaded them, then traced the raster image with Inkscape, adding lines to connect the unconnected parts. After scaling it to my desired size, I exported it as "Pure SVG." Next, I imported the SVG file into Fusion 360 and extruded the main parts (the black ones) and connecting parts (enclosed in the added lines), only a fraction of the height. It wasn't much work, but the result is quite good, isn't it?
