Hummingbird Feeder from an apple juice bottle
thingiverse
The original was from Gazorpa (thank you!). But the threaded portion was modified to hold a three-pronged thread used by Martinell's Apple Juice bottles. A hanger for the bottle was then designed. The flowers were painted using acrylic paints than then over-coated using clear finger nail polish to preserve it. I printed all parts in PETG for good weather stability. All printings need no supports and were 100% fill. The hanger and feeder are two separate sets. The four little flag-shaped peg parts are fitted to hold the top hanger with the bottle enclosed. Some filing is need to re-round the pegs. I use 1/4 cup sugar to 1 cup of water. I do add a few drops of food coloring, even though some say not to. It attracts the birds and makes it easy to tell when to refill. They empty the bottle in less than a week!
