Hummingbird Bit Lego Technic Compatible Frame Holder (9x13)
thingiverse
Hummingbird Bit, a fantastic intro/hobby robotics for the BBC Micro:bit, comes with a basic holder. This stl adds a lego technic compatible 9x13 frame to serve as a base chassis for your robots built using the technic build platform. Simply stick the hummingbird inside and you have a solid base start for a hobby robotics project. It is also a great way of repurposing your old LEGO Ev3 technic parts to a new microcontroller, the BBC Micro:bit, in conjunction with BirdBrain Tech's Hummingbird Bit. As a Highschool robotics teacher, I have a lot of EV3 kits kicking around, and the technic build platform is fantastic, but the EV3 brain sucks for programming. Now you can still use the technic build platform, but with python programming via the microbit. Fantastich! The lego technic compatible frame works out to be about a 9x13 unit frame. Pins fit in great when printed at a 1-1,5mm resolution. It is intended for use with it's pair, [the battery holder](https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:5489991) NOTE: See support settings below.
