Hummingbird is a personalized automata that brings joy to my wife's face when she feeds and watches the hummingbirds gathering at our home, spreading smiles far and wide. A video showcasing Hummingbird in action can be viewed here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iw8LeKPo7do This intricate automata consists of 97 meticulously crafted 3D printed parts, with 38 unique components that require a significant amount of time and patience to print, assemble, and fine-tune. In addition to the 3D printed parts, Hummingbird also necessitates a "uxcell 16mm DC 6V 60RPM Speed Torque Gear Box Electric Motor for Robot," which can be sourced from various suppliers, along with a reliable 6vdc power source and four 1/4-inch or thicker stick-on felt or rubber pads for the base. Notably, Thingiverse members arnoldpro and Luke321 have developed a hand crank that can substitute for the motor in this model, available here: https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:2913680. The file "Images.zip" contains an extensive collection of CAD images and photographs with original file names, serving as a valuable resource for printing and assembling Hummingbird. As is often the case, I may have overlooked a crucial file or two, so please don't hesitate to ask if you have any questions. I am more than happy to assist and rectify any mistakes that may arise. Hummingbird was designed using Autodesk Fusion 360 and sliced with Cura 3.2.1 before being printed in PLA on both an Ultimaker 2+ Extended and an Ultimaker 3 Extended.
