This Planter gives you a mist that fogs down to the near pots. Moving the air dial will allow more air making it mist more or close it to keep the fog on top of the tower. I would not recommend adding essencial oils, doing so will most cog the mist maker. If you cant or dont want to have the mist you can still print the other parts to have a spiral of pots around it.
