Humble spool holder (MINI remix)
prusaprinters

The box I'm using for a filament dry box does not have any extra height, so I took the basic dimensions of the Prusa Mini spool holder and lowered it as far I I could. I also added mounting blocks to (copies of) the rails to allow the spool holder to be attached to the bottom of the box.

These rails are backwards compatible with the Prusa Mini spool holder base (although there will be a gap if you don't remove the stick-on feet Prusa provides with their spool holder), if you don't care about the reduced height and just want to attach your spool holder down.

Assembly is with m3 cap head screws and nuts. You will need 4 mm long m3 cap head screws for the rail locking screws, any longer and they will foul the spool. I used button head screws through the bottom of the box so that the screw heads do not protrude below the ridges on the box bottom. The bearings are the standard 608 skateboard bearings, same as the MINI spool holder.

The box I'm using is a Ezy Storage 19qt IP67 Waterproof Storage Box from Target. It will fit two 200 mm spools. See my PG7 Mounting Plates for additional parts to use this box. Just use longer screws through the middle four side plates to make the double spool configuration shown in the picture.

Printing Info:

I used PETG, .4 mm nozzle, .2 mm layers and 25% infill with no supports.

Print four sides and two rails for each holder, that is, print the gcode file I've provided twice. Note that the rail is printed upside down.
