HumanScale Monitor Bracket
thingiverse
This is a 100mm x 100mm VESA monitor bracket designed specifically for use with HumanScale monitor arms. To utilize this bracket, it must first be mounted on the back of a computer monitor and then slid into the mount on a HumanScale monitor arm. The bracket has been crafted in two separate parts to simplify printability while also increasing its overall strength. A diamond-shaped boss on the "Monitor Bracket.stl" component is carefully designed to fit snugly into a corresponding diamond-shaped hole on the "MonitorNub.stl" part, creating a strong mechanical bond between the two pieces that is further reinforced by four M3x16mm socket cap head screws. When assembling the bracket, it's essential not to over-tighten the screws connecting the bracket to the monitor. A snug fit is all that's necessary, as over-tightening could lead to delamination of the layers and ultimately cause the part to fail. For mounting the bracket to the back of the monitor, I recommend using M4 x 14 x .7 pitch screws. It's crucial to note that these brackets should only be used after installing the four M3x16mm socket cap head screws, as they are a critical component in the design and strength of this part. In my experience, I've successfully mounted six monitors using these brackets without any issues. However, it's essential to exercise good judgment when selecting monitors for use with this mount, as some may be heavier than others and not suitable for this application.
