Human thoracic vertebrae T1-T12
thingiverse
The 18 thoracic vertebrae, T1-T18, are printed at human scale. They're not anatomically precise, but serve as a good starting point for more detailed models. The designs can also be used as standalone art pieces. To assemble the vertebrae, I joined the two halves of each model together, resulting in slightly imperfect prints with visible seams on most pieces. However, this approach made printing faster and easier than gluing separate parts after they were printed. Printing at 0.2 mm layer thickness with supports required between 1-2 hours per vertebra, depending on its size. A time-lapse video of the printing process can be found at https://youtu.be/itPZ0DIxgvo
