Human Strut for Isotropic Vector Matrix Construction
thingiverse
This human strut can be used for construction within a space-filling network of continuously alternating octahedra and tetrahedra, known as an Isotropic Vector Matrix. The human figure stands on and supports rhomboid shaped podiums that together form the surface of a spherical rhombic dodecahedron with precision. Joining adjacent surfaces will form the vertex of a tetrahedron and joining adjacent surfaces will also form the vertex of an octahedron, demonstrating geometric versatility. The arms of the figure have been thickened for added structural integrity and stability. These images above and this video show 24 struts forming an octahedron surrounded by four tetrahedrons: https://youtu.be/IGnmeHiBjgw
