Human Skeleton

thingiverse

This is a skeleton I came across on Grabcad by Marco Valenzuela. The file isn't for commercial use; you're free to print it without restrictions. To make things easier, I've remixed the design so that all parts can be printed in one piece, eliminating the need for assembly like I did originally. The limbs are designed to be printed vertically, while the thorax leans on its back and front parts simultaneously. I placed the head leaning on the occipital bone. To achieve smooth prints, I use raft support. Except for the limbs, this wasn't needed in any part of my model. I stick with a layer thickness of 0.2mm when printing and move at speeds of 150mm/s travel and 90mm/s print. I go for a standard infill level of 10%. PLA filament is my material of choice. Note that rescaling to 4000% helped give the design some more room. The file also comes with images showcasing the painted model, courtesy of XTC-3D. For an additional touch, I included organ models, such as lungs and liver from a gallery two times, which can be paired perfectly with this skeleton when printed with Ninjaflex flexible filament at 30mm/s, 220 degrees Celsius and a standard infill level of 10%. Huge thanks go to @Lambchops and @markpearson for their original designs of the organs, particularly heart, bowel, and stomach.
